Copyright to all contents of this site is held either by Brick or the individual authors or publishers. None of the material you find on this site may be used elsewhere without written permission.
When Brick accepts a piece for publication, it asks for English-language worldwide serial rights for one-time use in all print and digital editions of the specific issue in which the piece appears, as well as possible publication on Brick’s website within six months of the publication of the issue; after that, copyright reverts back to the author.
If you receive permission from an author to reprint work that originally appeared in Brick, or if you are an author whose contribution to Brick will be appearing elsewhere in print or digital formats, we simply ask that you include in your publication a credit note stating that the piece previously appeared in Brick, A Literary Journal.
Please feel free to contact us with any specific questions you may have about reprinting work from any of our issues.
