Robert Kroetsch (June 26, 1927 - June 21, 2011)
Brick mourns the sudden loss of writer and friend Robert Kroetsch, who passed away on June 21, just a few days shy of his 84th birthday. Kroetsch was a contributor to Brick in its earlier days, and Elizabeth Hay wrote a review of his wonderful novel The Man From the Creeks in Brick 82. His work was honest, wide, and energetic, and he was a friend to countless writers at all levels of their careers. He will be sorely missed.
